One Last Vacation This Year
By admin | January 19, 2008
School has started. Labor Day has passed. Summer is officially over. But, you could probably still squeeze one more vacation in before the cold weather really starts to hit.
But, what is there to do? Do you know that this is probably the best time to schedule a vacation? Look at all the deals you can get if you are willing to dig a little.
Orlando, Florida
You have until about November 6th to book a trip to Orlando and get a pass to Universal. Fly in the middle of the week and get a huge discount on round trip airfare. Stay for four nights at the South Pacific themed Royal Pacific Resort complete with a lagoon pool and beautiful palm trees. Play for free at the Universal Theme Park and the Universal CityWalk. You’ll be surprised how little it will cost when you put a package together with the right travel arrangements.
City Passes
A growing trend across America is the savings a City Pass offers. Plenty of cities have adopted the idea including Atlanta, Boston, New York and San Francisco. Some Canadian cities such as Toronto are getting into the act as well. Enjoy the many sights these cities offer. You get front of the line privileges and you even get introduced to the quiet secrets only the locals share.
River Cruises
Have you ever heard of a River Cruise? Autumn offers the best variety for spices of life when you float down these rivers exploring the European countryside. See the best of what such countries as Germany, France and Austria have to offer as you view complete cities on the water as well as massive Castles and Cathedrals. Egypt and China river cruises are also available.
Theme Parks
They never lose the fun, but they do lose the visitors over non-summer months. You’d be surprised how much you can save by booking a trip now. Get a hotel room at the last minute and you’ll save money on rooms that were going to be vacant. Show up at the gates virtually any time you want throughout the day because you most likely won’t have to deal with the infamous long summer lines. Ride the rides all day long with only a handful of other people because not many visitors will be walking around elbow to elbow like normal. You can really enjoy yourself at such theme parks as Busch Gardens, Six Flags and Kings Dominion. I’m not saying people won’t be there or that certain events might make the park packed. But, planning a little ahead can help you find when to have the best time at the park.
You can have a great time throughout the rest of the year with just a little planning. Summer is the most favorite time of year for vacations and all deals are off normally when you plan a vacation during those months. But, you can get great deals in the fall, winter and spring if you choose to look, plan to dig and be ready to explore vacation ideas you may have never even heard.
